Construction - April 5, 2003

Holes in the sheetrock and dangling wires greeted worship attenders, with the promise of demolition which is slated to begin April 21.
These people were members of this church during the original construction which began forty years ago last month. Clockwise, from left: Richard Hoshino, Jim Marxmiller (in lift, Master Plan Committee Chairman) Florence Winslow, Joan Hawes, Edith Azevedo (Edith has been here longer than another other member, since 1947), Darrell Robinson, Eva Elliott, Harry Elliott, Anita Furiosi, Karl Reuhl, Eva Hoshino.
Darrell Robinson and Harry Elliott hold the marble plaque commemorating the dedication of the original construction, dated September 14, 1968. Dedication took place upon the church paying off loans for the construction of the church. The plaque was removed in preparation for demolition of the narthex.
This stained glass of The Good Shepherd was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Boyd during a trip to New York. It is a Tiffany. It will be stored during remodeling. It's future location has not been determined.

Pastor Tim offers a blessing on the remodeling, asking the Lord to bless our church ministries and outreach until Jesus returns.

The congregation bows heads during the blessing prayer.
