Our Beliefs

Simplified Overview of Membership Beliefs

I believe in God the Father; in His Son, Jesus Christ; and in the Holy Spirit.

I accept the death of Jesus to pay for my sins, and I embrace the grace and unconditional love that He offers.

I accept the new life Jesus gives me in place of my sinful life. I will seek to stay close to Jesus through prayer, Bible study, small group community, worship and service.

I believe Jesus is ministering in heaven for me and He gives me the Holy Spirit so I can walk in His ways and live a life of love.

I believe God inspired the Bible and that it reveals His character of love and His guidelines for our lives. It is our manual for life and faith.
By the power of God living in me, I will strive to obey God’s Commandments, which includes observing and enjoying the seventh day of the week as the Sabbath.

I want to help as many people as possible to be ready for the second coming of Jesus, by revealing His love and truth through my words and deeds.

I believe that believers who have passed away sleep in Christ, and that we all will rise up together at the time of the Second Coming to enjoy eternal life. (1 Thes 4).

I believe that God is merciful and loving and just, even to those who reject him. For those who don’t accept his grace, he will let them reap the wages of their sin, which is a judgment that ends in death. (Romans 6:23; Malachai 4:3) But they will not live on eternally suffering. God does not torment people in an everlasting hell. Eternal life is a free gift of grace that is offered to all from a merciful God. But only those who accept it will live on forever.

I believe God gives special abilities and spiritual gifts to His people and that prophecy is one of these gifts.

I will help God’s church with my influence, effort, and money.

I will take good care of my body because the Holy Spirit lives there now.

With God’s power, I will obey the basic principles of the Bible as taught by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

I want to be baptized to publicly pledge my allegiance to Christ.

I believe the Seventh-day Adventist Church has a special message to give the world. I want to be a member.
